About Orientation
These Orientation sessions will prepare you for the start of your studies at UQ within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT).
You will get the information you need to help get you started in your degree, learn about the services and support available in the faculty and across UQ, including clubs and societies, and have the opportunity to meet staff and students.
Most orientation welcome sessions will be available as recordings after the event.

Welcome to the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Orientation (On Campus and Online)
This session is specifically designed for first year students in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) to help get you started in your degree.
During the session you will receive essential program information to successfully plan your enrolment, have the opportunity to ask questions, and meet other students and staff in your program.
There are 3 sessions to choose from. Session 1 and Session 2 are on-campus only events, and places are limited. If you are unable to attend on campus, or the event reaches capacity, a separate online event is available (Session 3). Students should only attend one of these sessions.

- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) dual degree students

Important information
- Session 1 and Session 2 are COVID Safe Events. Registration is required.
- Please note, due to capacity restrictions seating is capped and you are required to bring your virtual ticket along to the event.
- All attendees will be required to use the Queensland Government Check In QLD app and register upon arrival.
- It is mandatory that you bring and wear a facemask during these orientation activities.
How to join Session 3 Online
This Orientation session will be hosted online via Zoom. Registration is not required.
- Before your session starts, install Zoom onto your device and check you are able to log in with your UQ username and password.
- On the day of the event, a link to the session will become available. Hit the button to 'Launch session' and join a live Zoom meeting.
